‘Your recovery should be faster because we only gave you six treatments of the Oxaliplatin instead of the old regulation twelve. Your other side effects should start fading much sooner.’
‘I hope so, especially the fatigue. Louise and I are driving up to Queensland in a couple of weeks.’
‘That will be good for you. Just make sure you stop every couple of hours, get out, and walk around for a bit.’

‘You’ll be fine. All we have to do now is organise a blood test, a CT scan, and a follow-up, which can wait till after your return. Drop into my rooms afterwards. The girls will book you in.’
‘I will.’
Andrea wheels in the treatment trolley. He hands over your file to her. ‘Enjoy the trip, and I’ll see you in the new year.’
‘Thanks for everything,’ you say.
He nods and leaves.
